Weather in KL

Weather is a very important topic when it comes to tropical regions. Luckily, Kuala Lumpur is located between the Titiwangsa Range in the east and Sumatra Island in the west, making it an ideal place to visit all year round.

Kuala Lumpur, like other cities in the region, is blessed with sun all year round with a moderate temperature between 24C-32C and abundant rain especially in the evening. Located a mere 348km north of the equator, the weather is hot and humid all year round making it almost impossible to avoid sweating while strolling through the city by foot.

Rainfall occurs highest between October and March due to the monsoon wind. Being shielded by the Titiwangsa Range, it is generally not affected by the monsoon season. However, evening rains are not uncommon due to the high air humidity reaching up to 80%. Nevertheless, Kuala Lumpur is a suitable destination all year round.
