Taman Tasik Perdana (Perdana Lake Garden)


Established in the late 19th century, the Perdana Lake Garden is one of the oldest manmade gardens in Kuala Lumpur. It used to host the official residence of the then British government representative Sir Frank Swettenhem. It is famous for its elegant Britishstyle hotel and high tea. Known as the Carcosa Seri Negara, it is located within the busy Kuala Lumpur with lush parkland, flowering shrubs, shady trees, flowers and lakes with a total area of 227 acres.

The Perdana Lake Garden also hosts numerous attractions including the KL Bird Park, KL Butterfly Park, National Monument, the ASEAN sculpture garden and the Tun Razak Memorial making it a must-visit place for travellers. Be it a leisure retreat with families at the Planetarium or an educational visit to the historical Tun Abdul Razak Old Residence and Memorial, the Perdana Lake Garden has it all for you. It also has the Panggung Anniversary, an open air amphitheatre that has hosted many cultural performances including a tribute concert for John Lennon.

How to get there: Travellers can enter the Park through Jalan Perdana as you walk past the national mosque which is conveniently located a few minutes away from the Kuala Lumpur KTM station as well as the Pasar Seni LRT station.
